My story made it to the last ten of Chiplit Fest’s 2018 competition. Very happy with that.

Highly commended in the Michael Terrence Publishing 2017 short story comp, which means my story has been published in their anthology.

Second place in the 1000 word challenge. I liked this little tale and had fun writing it.

Finchley Literary Festival – June 2016

June 2016 issue, shortlisted in Writing Magazine ‘Changes’ competition.

I’m not sure if ‘highly commended’ counts as a shortlist, but I came fifth in the Plymouth Writers Group 2016 competition which means I’ll be in their anthology, out this Autumn. There’s a linki to the story on here:

PWG 2016 Writing competition

I’ve been on several shortlists. Some are listed below:

Delighted to have been on this shortlist and be included in their forthcoming anthology:

I’ve been the ‘featured entry’ on Hour of Writes three times, which is always a nice feeling 🙂

Apparently I got to the last 50 in the last year’s big Mslexia short story comp. This news came via e mail, unless I misunderstood it!

I won the first two rounds I was assigned in the NYC Midnight short story challenge 2015 (cannot find links to this). I lost out in the final round – was away the weekend it happened, and had precisely three hours in the middle of the night to do it! Not surprisingly, I didn’t get placed but was really happy to be first in the two rounds I did manage.
